Scorpion Solitaire: what to know before playing

Begin with the objective. Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Select cards directly on the tableau and work through a full solo deal. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer. Keep the active rule in mind. Move a face-up card with its tail onto the next higher same-suit rank. Kings fill empty columns. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear.

Seven columns; three stock cards dealt once to the first three columns. Free solo play, no wagering.

Practice beyond the first move

For a calm first round, focus on one decision. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot. Use another round to revisit a decision.

A useful example

The trailing cards may be unordered, but the destination suit and rank must match. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.

Notice this detail

Look at the complete hand before deciding. Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Use another round to revisit a decision.
